Every coffee we sell comes from one farm, and every one of them cups at 80 or above.
About Our Coffee
Speciality is a
score, not a word
Coffee gets graded out of 100 by trained cuppers. Eighty is the line. Below it, you are drinking commodity coffee in a nice bag. At eighty and above, it is speciality, and the grade is the only part of this industry that cannot be talked up.
Everything we sell sits above that line. Not a premium tier we keep back for the website. The whole range, decaf included.
Plenty of brands use the word. Fewer will give you the number.

The questions we get asked most
What is speciality coffee?
A cupping score of 80 or above, graded out of 100 by trained cuppers. That is the industry line between commodity coffee and speciality, and everything we sell is over it.
Do you sell blends?
No. Single origin only. Every bag comes from one farm in one country, so what you taste is that farm and nothing else.
Where is it roasted?
In Caernarfon, North Wales.
Whole bean or ground?
Either. Tell us your setup at checkout and we will grind for espresso, filter, cafetiere or moka pot. Whole bean keeps better, so if you have a grinder, use it.
How fresh is it?
Every bag carries a best before date. If you want the roast date for a particular lot, ask and we will tell you.
Do you supply cafes and offices?
Yes. Wholesale is 1kg bags, trade prices from £20 per kilo, VAT free.
